High school graduate project - O’ Tear is an charity organization
which devoted to protect ocean environment in Taiwan.
The project represent a serious topic with an easy tone, which contain a ironic narrative. And communicate with its viewer by leaving space to think and to imagine.
"If narrative is one of the element that compose the relationship between form and content. How to create a beautiful/clever one? “ "If the fundamental objective of graphic design (communication design) is to convey and communicate with its viewers, how can I achieve that?"
Those are my expectations for my designs back to when I was in high school, and “O’TEAR” is the one that achieve those. Also as a project that creates satisfactions to myself for the first time, after 20+ projects.

Logo Design
How to represent ocean and tear in the meantime? Finally, I found out overlap a plane and round - sunset ( outline of an upside down U shape ) will fit our objective.  Circle above the water drop imply eye and tear, sunset associates with ocean.
Poster Design
What if the ocean is getting hotter?  What if the world is getting fever?
And I’m getting older, lose my cover.

Coral Bleaching - Poster Design
I lists ideas we want to convey to viewers ( Globe warming, coral bleaching ), then think with various aspects, what can make viewer associated with these messages? For example, global warming equal rise of ocean water temperature, it’s the origin of Thermometer ( fever ) frame and red paper ( Temperature rising ).
“What do you want to have today? Fishes? Shrimps? Or plastic bag?”
Marine Debris - Poster Design
The objective of these posters is to emit the idea that what we do ( Environment damage )may bring enormous impact to the environment even ourselves. Sounds serious? I choose to convey this idea with an apparently different way. A lovely and ironic way.
“What do you want to have today? Fishes? Shrimps? Or plastic bag?” Different size of Fishes outline and the litter in the center to display how marine debris affect the ocean environment seriously even ourselves with food chain.
